Community water monitoring program

Community Water Monitoring Program

In partnership with local communities and Waterkeeper Alliance, we established 15 community-based water monitoring stations across Lake Kyoga. Local volunteers now conduct regular water quality tests, providing early warning for pollution incidents.

85% improvement in response time to pollution incidents
Wetland restoration project

Wetland Restoration Initiative

Working with Mountain True and local government agencies, we restored 500 hectares of degraded wetlands around Lake Kyoga. The project included replanting native vegetation and establishing buffer zones to protect water quality.

30% increase in local fish populations
Educational outreach program

International Exchange Program

Through our partnership with French Broad Riverkeeper, we facilitated knowledge exchange visits between Uganda and North Carolina, sharing best practices in water protection and community engagement strategies.
